About Us

about Green Jeans Insulation was founded in Louisiana by Terry Villar, a Louisiana native, after finishing his service in the United States Army.

We believe in training and certifications. We also believe that employees should always wear a uniform, be clean cut & drug free.

Our team has been trusted to work on more than 10,000 homes here in southeastern Louisiana! That is unheard of in this industry, especially here on the Gulf Coast!!

We have assembled an experienced team of installers who have worked in the industry for many years. Mr. Green Jeans pays good American wages & works with local suppliers to keep our dollars reinvested in the local economy. We are also very involved in the local builder's associations such as CRBA (Capital Regional Builders Association, NAHB and LAHB.

Terry Villar

The owner of Mr. Green Jeans Insulation LLC. Has attended college at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, while serving the military. Terry grew up in Gonzales, LA. He is married to Sandy Villar, who is also a native of Gonzales, LA and is also a certified elementary teacher. Together, they have 4 beautiful, healthy children.

Terry received formal training in building science through the nationally accredited Building Performance Institute (BPI). Terry is a certified Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, HES Rater, Infiltration and Duct Leakage specialist, IAQ specialist, Certified Mold Remediator and Mold Inspector. He is knowledgeable on most all topics concerning residential and commercial energy efficiency.

Eric Villar

Eric is the nephew and adopted son of the Owner, Terry Villar. Eric was the very first employee of the business. He is a Certified Weatherization Technician and plays a major role in the day to day operations of a weatherization crew. He also performs all of our duct cleaning services. Even though he is still very young, he is very skilled and understands weatherization and Building Science. Eric holds the following certifications: Building Science Analyst, Envelope Specialists and Infiltration and Duct Leakage.

Mr. Green Jeans is fully insured & maintains a $1 million Commercial General Liability Insurance Policy & Workman's Comp Insurance.

Had a great experience with Mr. Green Jeans! My historic home was getting so hot due to a lack of insulation. Terry came out and did an energy audit and made recommendations and gave quotes at different price points. His crews handled the insulation quickly and even came out an extra day when we discovered unexpected obstacles. Highly recommend!

Terry and his crew are amazing. Terry will come to your location and educate you on how he can help fix your issues. He does not talk down to you nor does he come across pushy. He genuinely cares about helping. His crew comes in and explains everything they will be doing. They are top notch professionals. My personal experience was my attic had major humidity issues which caused the AC and duct work to sweat. We tried everything but could not get it to stop until we met Terry at a home show. He came in and inspected and explained how he could fix our issues and was able to deliver on his promise. Our electric bill prior to having spray foam installed in our attic was averaging $550 per month. Now our bill is less than $200 per month. And we still keep our house at 70 degrees. We even cool our attic during the summer and our bill is still this low. I highly recommend spray foam for your house or business and Terry and his crew to do the work.

We had Mr. Green Jeans spray foam our attic and crawlspace in Mid-City New Orleans. Getting an estimate was easy. The crew was professional and showed up when they said they would. They treated our house well while they were in it. Terry answers any questions you may have and explains the process well and what to expect. Great quality installation! Many thanks to Terry Villar and his crew! Mr. Green Jeans insulation did an outstanding job of helping us create a climate controlled storage room above our garage. Our house was not designed with very much usable storage and Terry's foam insulation transformed our hot and humid garage attic into an extremely comfortable and functional space!
